About Myself?

Passionate about creating unique and immersive experiences that resonate deeply with emotions, inviting connection and reflection. I am currently the Director of Admissions at Cathedral High School, where I’ve had the opportunity to apply my creativity and problem-solving skills to enhance the admissions process and revamp the school’s decade-old website. However, I will be transitioning out of this role on December 20th to pursue a career in Tech, specifically in UX Design.

I consider myself a dynamic and innovative individual with a strong creative streak. Beyond my professional endeavors, I am a photographer and filmmaker, driven by storytelling and capturing moments that inspire.

My love for games runs deep—particularly Chess and Toontown Rewritten. I started playing the original Toontown during middle school and have maintained connections with some of my earliest friends from that time. Today, my experience with Toontown Rewritten has been even more rewarding, perhaps due to being older and able to appreciate the community and accomplishments more fully. The game’s collaborative nature reflects my belief that working with others is essential to achieving great things.

I’m also passionate about health and fitness. A former Cross Country State Champion in high school, I continue to run regularly and am gearing up for my first marathon in 2025. Football is another interest of mine—I’m a dedicated fan of the Buffalo Bills.

My artistic philosophy is embodied in my motto: “Let’s merge into purple together.” This symbolizes blending different ideas and perspectives to create something beautiful and cohesive. Just as red and blue combine to make purple, collaboration is vital for meaningful creation—a principle that resonates with my experiences in both art and gaming.

Can you tell us about your experiences working in a team environment? What did you learn from your experience(s), and what values do you believe are most essential to effective teamwork?

I have worked in many team environments, both during college and in my professional life. Four major experiences that stand out are my time in the restaurant industry, my work at Disney World’s Hollywood Studios, my current role at Cathedral High School, and my involvement in filmmaking.

The most extensive experience I’ve had is in the food industry. I co-own a restaurant with my brother called Coco.Miel, where I have taken on nearly every role imaginable—from dishwasher and waiter to bartender and manager. This comprehensive exposure taught me the importance of adaptability and understanding the unique challenges each position faces. It also reinforced the need for collaboration and clear communication to ensure smooth operations, especially during high-pressure situations.

At Disney World, I worked as an outdoor vendor and also backstage in the warehouse. This role required teamwork on multiple levels, including coordinating with fellow cast members to deliver exceptional guest experiences and working behind the scenes to keep everything running efficiently. Disney’s emphasis on teamwork and guest satisfaction taught me the value of preparation and how to remain composed under unexpected circumstances.
